How exciting!

I went to college with 2 guys that were from Mauritius off the coast of Mad and it's gorgeous from the pictures.

I also work with several of the Lost Boys and a few others from Western Africa.

Theresa, what are you going to do when visiting Muslim countries? Will you have to adhere to their dress code?

This is definently where I want to go. All of the wildlife opportunties sound amazing. Now I just have to decide where I'm gonna hop on the train.

Victoria Falls seems hard to pass up. But Madagascar probably sounds the most exciting. It's so unique.

I don't think you should leave Africa honestly.

Gregory--I thought of Biratu when I was writing about Ethiopia. Looks like I'll have to have a chat with him, maybe over Christmas.

And yes, the cities in S. Africa aren't the safest, but I think you just have to be extra cautious. And I don't think we have plans to go to J-burg which is supposed to be the worst.

I think you picked the best of the bunch...those are the countries I'm most leaning towards, but also Namibia and perhaps not Botswana because of the cost.

Laura--We're definitely taking the camera and a good lens. And we're looking into the Gorilla Pod SLR Zoom Tripod. I'm excited about all the photo ops, but we don't want to be too bogged down with equipment.

All these places sound so awesome. I can't wait to hear about where you guys decide to go and then hear about what it's like when you get there! Speaking of... are you planning on bringing a lot of camera equipment with you? It sounds like you're going to have some amazing photo opportunities!

Halloween at the Louisville Zoo- badass!

Biratu might be able to give you some ideas about Ethiopia. Not only is he from there but he visits regularly.

South Africa is one of the most dangerous countries in the world. I'm sure you know that.

Seems like plenty of options to choose from. If I had to choose a few I'd do Rwanda, Ethiopia, Botswana, Tanzania, and Zambia/Zimbabwe.
