About Us
We are Theresa and Jeff. Click on our names to find out a bit more about each of us as individuals.
Together, we’re the Blackintons. We were born in 1981, so we’re both Roosters, according to the Chinese calendar. We were married in 2005, so we’ve passed the newlywed point, but we’re not yet that old married couple. We’re Rice University alumni, Democrats, ethnic food fans, avid hikers, wannabe cyclists, and travel lovers.
We already have stamps in one or both of our passports from a fair bit of Europe (United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Monaco, the Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Estonia, and Austria), a teensy bit of Central America (Belize and Nicaragua), and one nation in Africa (Egypt).
In fall 2008, we’re leaving for a year on the road, the world our destination.
This is a chronicle of that trip and the preparation for it.
